"To send light into the darkness of men's hearts - such is the duty of the artist " - Robert Schumann
I am an artist living in Shropshire. I paint in pastels and watercolours and am also a printmaker - working in lino-cut, woodcut ,drypoint and most recently, acid etching.
My paintings are mainly landscapes - inspired by places I have visited in England. My drawings are usually from life and I aim to attend a life drawing session every week with the intention of keeping my drawing techniques fresh and developing. I am increasingly becoming interested and experimenting with pastel painting from my life drawings. I exhibit twice a year with the Shropshire Art Society - in early summer at St Mary's Church Shrewsbury and in the autumn at Bear Steps Gallery in Shrewsbury.
I hope you enjoy looking at my paintings, However, if you are offended by nudity you might prefer to ignore the life drawings!

I have been lucky enough to work with lots of brilliant generous artists. I have provided links on the relevant pages to some. Also the places that I find provide inspirational courses have links below.
This is a soft ground acid etching called Cader Idris.
It has been accepted for the Telford and Wrekin Open Art Exhibition 2012.
The exhibition can be viewed at The Place in Oakentages, Telford, Shropshire
I have recently completed a sketchbook for "The Sketchbook Project" . This involves completing a small sketchbook which is returned to the Brroklyn Art Library and then, with the many others, goes on a tour so that people can see others sketchbooks. See the link for more information
I have also just signed up for a course in printmaking with the OCA.
